This is some dense material. Given the extent of the Ordnance Survey's
influence both on these standards and on the work of EuroGeographics
( http://eurogeographics.org/ ), I think it's a good bet that whatever
metadata standards emerge from the INSPIRE EuroSDI process, will look
a lot like these. Thus we should take compliance with them into account
into our repository work...

The UK Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG -
http://www.communities.gov.uk/) commissioned a number of guidelines on
metadata that have were published on the Intra-governmental Group on
