Hi,
In case you won't find such dataset, you can digitize the boundaries
yourself, basing upon a scan of old atlas map from the repository of David
Rumsey Map Collection. You can georeference it easily, eg in Quantum GIS and
use at least as a background.

Best regards:
Raf

Subject: [Geodata] Historical Boundaries Dataset

Hello,

Is this the right place to ask something like that?? If not please
direct me to a more appropriate place. :)

Does somebody know if there is a Historical Boundaries Dataset from
around 1900 of the complete world? Especially colonial borders in Africa
of that time are of interest, but the rest of the world also.

Thanks and regards,
Christian
