Hi all,

To keep you all updated, following our discussions at our May telemeeting http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/ICA_OSGeo_Lab_Network_2013-05-02 Maria has kindly taken lead for the planned COST bid. We have excellent research theme and geographic distribution also to meet the COST criteria. Even though COST only funds for meeting costs (max 2 persons per EU country), it is an excellent opportunity for building future research bids. If any of you are interested , please contact Maria directly.

Our next meeting is planned on 6th June (Thur) 14:00 UTC. There will be meeting for COST bid interested participants before the main meeting. Phil, hope we can use your teleconferencing facilities as last time. Please confirm. Many thanks.

Also as we are now growing rapidly, we thought to have nodal contacts for each region, so we can respond to mails etc more faster.

Anne Ghisla - Asia & Australia
Helena Mitasova - North America
Charlie Schweik - South America
Suchith Anand - Europe & Africa

Our aim is to have over 100 ICA-OSGeo labs in 3 years' time in as many countries globally to further expand this education initiative.

Suchith
