Hi Suchith, Phil, all,
our previous work developing the website in 2014 was contributed
voluntarily, in the spirit of the OSGeo community! As we use open
source tools with existing hosting infrastructure, there are no
hosting costs.
A 2015 budget for further development and annual maintenance as you
suggest would be very helpful and ensure we keep the momentum, as well
as being able to assist other labs who might not easily be able to
provide their own lab specific websites.
Best regards,
Jason

We did discuss awarding Open Geospatial Science award for the best student competitions at FOSS4G events and we did setup a Advisory team also, so i suggest that we dont lose the momentum for this and plan this. For example NASA World Wind Europa challenge is a good one that is already in place. I suggest that Maria and Patrick take the lead for this and we allocate 1000 USD for the best student team of this competition.
