Hi Jason,

Thank you for this. I think it is very important we have resources available for our website as this benifits everyone, so i will put request for 2015 budget to include support for assisting other labs who might not be able to setup thier own specific websites. 

Setting up and maintaining a dedicated website might be a hurdle for some universities (especially in developing and poor countries)  who wish to also join our network and if we are able to provide some support for them, it will be of great help to them to get started and participate . Once they get started, i am sure they will over time develop thier own resources and  to expand thier ideas. 

Also one of the aims for the future, is to enable a simple annual web reporting form in the main website , so that all labs can update the developments that year and having the funtionality in our website for this will be of great help. It will also help others know about the activities in each lab.

So i suggest that we request OSGeo Board to allocate 3500 USD for the further development needs (including assisting other labs to setup their own lab specific websites and annual maintainance) of the "Geo for All" website for 2015.

If any others have any other ideas for the website, please let all of us know. Thanks.

Hi Suchith, Phil, all,

our previous work developing the website in 2014 was contributed
voluntarily, in the spirit of the OSGeo community!  As we use open
source tools with existing hosting infrastructure, there are no
hosting costs.

A 2015 budget for further development and annual maintenance as you
suggest would be very helpful and ensure we keep the momentum, as well
as being able to assist other labs who might not easily be able to
provide their own lab specific websites.
