[Ica-osgeo-labs] Fwd: Regarding Student Awards at FOSS4G Seoul

Dear All,

I wish to add few points to Sanghee’s arrangements.

The 6 certificates are for best oral and best poster presentation in each
of the three categories, I assume.

Apart from the certificates, a formal results document/ letter also can be
drafted and make ready for each category so that after the final selection,
names and details can be filled by the students’ awards committee. It can
be used to officially inform the OSGeo treasurer or other bodies relating
to the Awards at a later stage.

I am not sure what Jeff meant by presentation, but can we have a brief
presentation summarizing all student’s presentations/ posters and then
introducing winners during the award ceremony? As there would be many
parallel sessions, this would give an idea of students’ efforts to
everybody. This needs to be prepared during the event anyway.

See you all at Seoul!

Cheers

Nimalika
