Marco, All,

Thank you for the excellent updates and great to know about this new project and its links to universities and industry. I will share this info with wider colleagues.

For info. The University of Nottingham has been supporting and promoting the European Satellite Navigation challenge (ESNC) University Challenge for the last 4 years and i have now got my colleagues here to also support for promoting NASA Europa Challenge 2016. I have suggested to my colleagues at Nottingham that we plan to do combined promotion events for NASA Europa challenge 2016 and European Satellite Navigation challenge 2016 , to further reach out to more students and staff at Universities to participate in these challenges as they wish and expand collaborations and build synergies. I thank my Nottingham colleagues for accepting my request and suggestion on this.

So if any of your universities want to be part of these challenges , you are all welcome. I am thinking of doing select events at maximum 5 universities in Europe this year on this, so your ideas/inputs on getting this joint event to your university welcome . I only need confirmation of half day seminar room at your university, so we can come over and present these excellent challenges to the students and get them participate. So please let me know asap if you wish to have a info event for ESNC and Europa challenge at your university and i will be happy to work with you to make it happen. It will help keep building more collaborations between universities, industry and governments .

Best wishes,

Suchith

Subject: [Ica-osgeo-labs] Fwd: giCASES - survey open

Dear all,
I would like to invite those of you belonging to European universities and companies to fill the questionnaire described in the e-mail below. The questionnaire represents a key tool for the giCASES EU project, which seeks to enable and strengthen innovation in GIS&T education and practice, and facilitate the collaborative creation, management and sharing of knowledge between different stakeholders (universities and companies). The GEOlab of Politecnico di Milano - our GeoForAll lab - is one of the partners of this interesting project.
Thank you for your time.
All the best,

Marco

Participate in the giCASES survey on collaboration in GIS&T education!
The European giCASES project is investigating how higher education institutions are working together with private companies and public administrations in the design and delivery of GIS&T education in Europe. Therefore, giCASES would like to invite individuals and organizations from the higher education sector but also from the public and private sector to participate in a survey on collaboration between higher education institutions and other stakeholders in the design and delivery of GIS&T education.
This short survey is a unique opportunity for teachers, program coordinators but also GI professionals in the private or public sector to share their experiences with and views on collaboration in GIS&T education. In addition, the survey also aims to collect good practices in collaboration between higher education institutions and other stakeholders in the design and delivery of GIS&T education.
The survey can be accessed here<https://websurvey.kuleuven.be/index.php/3734/lang-en>.
giCASES is a Knowledge Alliance project under the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission. The project aims to enable and strengthen innovation in GIS&T education and practice, and facilitate the collaborative creation, management and sharing of knowledge between different stakeholders. The giCASES project will develop and test new, innovative and multidisciplinary approaches to teaching, learning and knowledge management in the area of GIS&T.
The survey is the first step in the project, and will help the project partners to better understand current ways of collaboration in GIS&T education and the needs and expectations of different stakeholders regarding this collaboration. Should you have any comments or questions regarding this survey, please feel free to contact the survey organizers<mailto:glenn.vancauwenberghe at kuleuven.be>.
Thank you in advance for your participation! We appreciate your time and valuable input.
The giCASES consortium.
