[Geomoose-users] Select From Query

Dan,

 

Any thoughts?

 

Could you point me out where in the select.php I would need to
modify.....I am not asking for free code but any help would be
appreciated.  Quite new to Java which is realy complicating things....

 

Where are the mapserver templates and what would I have to do with them?

My Goals:

1.       Select all records returned and zoom to that extent?

2.       Be able to run different querys from a Tab not the drop down?

3.       Have a multiple Field Query on a Tab, from the same dataset,
say a parcels shapefile (ex Commercial Property sold between two dates)

 

Any help with the above would be greatly appreciated.

Jay,

I don't believe this is possible with the current state of the code.
But there is nothing saying you couldn't modify the GeoMOOSE code to do
this.  I believe you would need to modify the select.php script and also
the MapServer templates that your returning your results in.

 

Maybe Dan has some other ideas.

Hello - 

 

Background:

When you search by park it returns the parks....if you search by a
letter "a" it acts as a wild card and returns more than one record.

You then have to opportunity to choose each returned record in the
Information tab, it highlights and then zooms to that record.

 

Question:

IS there a way to automatically select all the records that are returned
from that query, highlight all those records, and then zoom to the
extent of the returned records.

 

Reason:

Say I create a search for a Parcels Dataset that had a field for
Residential, Commercial, Other.....I want to search for all Commercial
Properties...then Highlight them and then zoom to their extents.  Thus
showing a birds eye view of allt he commercial properties in a
particular area.....
