[Geomoose-users] Error in pdf-print module for point shape files when they use SYMBOL in the STY

Actually it looks like the script is disagreeing with the use of an MDB/OGR layer. Brian, do you happen to have any UTM-15 Access/MDB format data that I could dump into the Demo app and do some testing?

Athanasis,

Is it a raster symbol or a MapServer symbol? If I had to guess, I would bet it was related to the symbol being a raster (bitmap) symbol, and the PDF maker having a hard time trying to apply that in the final output. Either the Symbol can't be found or the name is referenced differently in more than one spot.

Can you send some more details about the symbol type.

Hello,

I am facing the following problem: When I add a layer in the statedemo.xml file about points that uses a SYMBOL in its STYLE, then the whole map cannot be printed.

This appears ONLY in point shape files and ONLY if they use a SYMBOL and ONLY if the specific layer is active when you try to print the whole map!

The log file shows the following:

[Mon Nov 26 19:39:53 2007] [error] [client 195.251.137.181] def draw(*args): return _mapscript.mapObj_draw(*args)\r, referer: http://195.251.137.181/geomoose/statedemo.html

In my web browser i get an :"Internal Server error", when i print the map, and ONLY if the specific layer is active

The dexamenes.map file contains the following:

LAYER

NAME 'dexamenes'

CONNECTIONTYPE ogr

CONNECTION "lesvos.mdb"

DATA "DEXAMENES_LATH"

STATUS DEFAULT

TYPE Point

CLASS NAME ""

STYLE

SYMBOL star

COLOR 0 0 255

SIZE 10

END

END

PROJECTION

'init=epsg:2100'

END

END #LAYER

Please, does anyone know if there is a solution to this problem?

Thank you in advance,
