Generally hi-res imagery is not available for free. Some U.S. states
and counties DO provide imagery for free as a service to their
taxpayers. You'll have to search for these.
A few corporations (Google,Microsoft,Yahoo) license large amounts of
hi-res imagery and make it available on the web (with specific
restrictions). The up-coming release of GeoMoose 2.2 will be able to
use these layers.
