A bit off topic from GeoMOOSE, but you might want to take a look at Cloudmade if you haven't already seen what they have to offer. They have sdk's for Iphone and other mobile apps that use OpenStreetMap. http://developers.cloudmade.com/projects.

It's not so much the capabilities in the list. God willing, it'd be possible to stuff a full GIS suite into one's pocket and head out to the field. It's a real matter of picking a platform and running with it. Extreme-mobile computing is very diverse in it's solution set but I think the two best starting points are iPhones and Android phones as they have the most UI components figured out. Other proprietary OS's are a bit niche and the "not much more than a phone" phones will have limited visualization capabilities.

Well, I looked in my wallet and $5 fell out. Is that enough? (Just a little humor) Seriously though, this is something that really intrigues me. I'm sure Bob already knows this as I have told him my desires/plans for its use. The key, for me, is the ability to edit/save changes to data. Whether it be moving objects or metadata associated with an object. If there is something I can do to assist, I'm ready.
I am also interested in hearing the types of capabilities other folks are after, as I have some myself.

Mark (and ???),
I've got something like this in the pipeline here at the City (as soon as I get Spending Authorization), but it might be more than what you are looking for. It's not an app intended for a majority of phones, but rather a selected few.
The basic idea is to use a Linux Powered Phone to run GeoMoose in a standalone configuration, as in very little, if any porting required.
Now, If you got funding, I've got all the pieces to put together to make it happen . . . . :c)
I'd be interested in the types of capabilities you are after.

Hi all,
As a follow up to Mark's question, can geomoose, per chance, be converted to a mobile phone compatible application?

Hello,
I was just curious if there are any ms4w applications that are compatible with mobile phones.
Thanks
