Carlo,

Having POSTGIS in the data stream allows for a lot of flexibility.  I've used POSTGIS quite a bit to convert on the fly during SQL queryies for the most part, so it doesn't really matter what the data is stored as coordinate wise, you can do a SQL query and convert on the fly during a query.

Switching projection inside of a GeoMoose install on the fly is a different matter though (I have seen it done though  :c)
