[GeoNode-devel] Upgrade of Geoserver from 2.5 to 2.9

Hello all,

I need some advice regarding upgrading our  WFP GeoNode Geoserver and it
would be really great if you can help me.

Our current Geoserver version is 2.5. We want to update it to 2.9. Has
anyone of you tried to do an upgrade like this in the past?

If yes, have you perhaps documented the process or can you provide with
some advice regarding the different steps? I understand the challenge is
not upgrading Geoserver its self but the different components, which
interact with GeoNode (authentication etc.)

Any advice is mostly welcome.
