[GeoNode-devel] Upgrade of Geoserver from 2.5 to 2.9

Thanks for your answer Alessio,

Is the GeoNode 2.4 version also based on Geoserver 2.9.x?
Regarding Tomcat, which version is recommended?

Just to starting forming an idea of the steps to be followed:

1) backup geoserver files.
2) update to recommended Tomcat version
3) update Java to 8+
4) deploy Geoserver 2.9
