[GeoNode-devel] Communication between GeoServer and GeoNode fails

Hello Michael,
from your stacktrace I see the cause of the issue

*Caused by: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out*

meaning that GeoServer could not reach the GeoNode REST endpoint between
the timeout.
Most probably there's a configuration error on the GeoServer security
filter.

Please make sure that the GeoNode endpoint is correctly configred and
reachable from GeoServer host on the AuthProvider
(see the bottom of this documentation page)
