Hi,
GeSolution is proposing a set of enhancements to the download of layers.
This proposal wants to be a first step to a deeper refactoring of the
download system, including the introduction of asynchronous downloads.

Internally we will start working on drect download of original raster
layers soon. This will overcome the shortcomings (and wrong usage) of WCS
for downloading the original files.
