[GeoNode-users] Geonode LDAP support

According to the main site http://geonode.org/admin_features/ LDAP is
supported.   However I was unable to find any information on LDAP in the
documentation.  Going through the the message boards I have found two
references to getting LDAP working but the users had issues and they were
not resolved (in the posts). They are:

Both of these posts are old.

Is there any formal documentation for configuring LDAP and if not can
anyone offer any suggestions on how they got it working?
