Hi Sydney,

  

you have two options to edit styles:

  

  1. Use the style rules within the geoexplorer with a gui widget
  2. Use the SLD editor within geoserver in the styles section with more flexibility

  

Actually a complete work for the upload of sld has the milestone of 2.7. You
