Hi list,
layers uses a URL schemes like:
http://example.com//layers/<layer_name>
> f.e. http://demo.geonode.org/layers/geonode%3Aforest_reserves_only_7
Maps use
http://example.com//layers/<map_id>
> f.e. http://demo.geonode.org/maps/537
It would feel more persistent to request layers by there ID as well.
> f.e. http://demo.geonode.org/layers/50
Can one explain why the decision was made to use layer_name instead of ID?
(maybe because of geoserver calls ?).
And if changing this means to overcome many obstacles (or if it´s in best
case just the URL an views.py of /layers app).
Thanks a lot!
Toni
