[GeoNode-users] User groups in 2.4?

Hello all,

I see from the Geonode 2.6 release notes that it supports groups and group
permissions. This is great news, since it is exactly what my client is
asking for, but I haven't yet upgraded their site to 2.6

My question is, is the groups support in Geonode 2.4 incomplete? I created
some user groups in the Django admin panel, but when I try to set
permissions for those groups in the Geonode interface, nothing shows up
when I type the group name.  Is there something wrong with my 2.4
configuration? Or would my time be better spent setting up a 2.6 site?

Thanks again for everyone's hard work on this outstanding open source
project.
