[GeoNode-users] can't see the layers preview in the "explore layer" page

thank you very much for your answer..

there is no error...

I have verified that the thumb files actually exist in the 
/uploaded/thumbs/   folder  (as an example I see the file named 
layer-7d51f5b2-d13c-11e7-a6fc-0050568d40c1-thumb.png), but they are all 
completely white!!

Therefore it seems that the thumbnails are created during the layer 
upload but they are created with nor the layer neither the background 
layer   (!)

very strange

any idea about what I can do to try to understand where the problem is ?
