Dear list,
Is there a description somewhere on what Geoserver extensions are required
by Geonode (eg. starting from vanilla Geoserver, what steps are required) ?
It seems the Debian package as well as the Docker-compose file from the
Geonode repository work by pulling some prebuilt archives from
http://build.geonode.org/geoserver/latest , but it's a bit hard to
understand what extensions exactly they contain, and if everything they
contain is really the minimal needed configuration or if there are some
optional packages as well (like geoserver-only additions).
The question also applies to the initial data directory, where again, an
initial archive is pulled from http://build.geonode.org/geoserver/latest ,
but it looks like it contains more than just the minimum needed
configuration for Geoserver to work with Geonode.
I'm asking because I'm trying to setup a full production ready deployment
procedure through Docker/Rancher and would like to be sure I completely
understand what's included in the Geoserver service. And I couldn't figure
out from what those archives are built, so it's kind of a black box...
So far, I could start Geoserver and found no visible errors when using
Geonode with the following packages : Vanilla Geoserver (2.12), Authkey
module, Printing module, Geofence-server module (note that I won't use
OAuth2 authentication so I guess these modules don't apply).
Thank you !
Olivier
