[GeoNode-users] default style for every new layer

Dear Geonode community,
my Geonode deployment is: version 2.10, master, docker, OS Ubuntu 18.04.
I'm trying to define default style for every new uploaded file/layer.
I have read the following discussion:
https://lists.osgeo.org/pipermail/geonode-users/2017-November/003951.html
but I don't understand Mr. Paolo words:
"just override fg, bg as desired".....with what string/value to override fg and bg ?
