[GeoNode-users] Geonode 2.10 Static Thumbnail

Hi there

I have noticed that Geonode will make a request to GeoServer to retrieve the thumbnail if not available locally. This is not ideal  as this will increase the number of request to GeoServer.  Can someone confirm how to force Geonode (2.10.rc4) to generate and retrieve the thumbnail from the local file rather than geoserver.
