I think it may be a good idea to put some mapfile information into the
widget documentation (in the case of a user with a mapfile)
 - "gml_include_items" "all" into the WEB section (under METADATA)
 - "gml_include_items" "all" into the LAYER section (under METADATA)
 - DUMP true into the LAYER section

Your problem seems to be on the mapfile side of things. For a layer to
output GML on a query on click, you need to have the "DUMP true" line
inside the LAYER object.
