OK, compiles and runs the XMLTester fine under OS/X 10.4.1
I'm good to go. Any other test results from other platforms (windows
anyone? slowaris? freebsd? OS/X 10.3?)

cvs -d :pserver:cvs at postgis.refractions.net:/home/cvs/postgis co -r
branch-2-1 geos
cd geos
./autogen.sh
./configure
make
cd source/text
./XMLTester
