Hi Stephen,

Yeah that's exactly how the previously attached patch works, by expanding
the #if to include cygwin as well as MingW. I see that Paul has applied
the patch to 3.0 branch SVN, so you could try that or download 3.0.3RC1
and apply the patch there. If it works, I think it's minimally invasive
enough to make the 3.0.3 final release.
