pdal.io, mapserver.org, gdal.org, and proj.org have a convention of putting this stuff under a catch-all "Community" landing page. That way it was a little more obvious it was a section about how to connect or communicate with the project and could include more stuff than just a link to the mailing list. One possible way to go about it.
