Importing PICT/TIFF files

Hi,
    for bringing in PICT or TIFF files to grass you can use pbmplus:

    anytopnm <inputfile>|pnmtorast -standard> <outputfile>

    Then use r.in.sunrast to bring in the output file.  Make sure to
    run r.support for the new raster file.  Default parameters are
    given to the image header and you need to correct those.  Also
    white space will be given a category value.  You may want to fix
    that as well.
