How to compile v.digit2?

	I download GRASS 4.1 source code from CERL ftp site a month ago and
compile it on USL UNIX system. I found out , that the source code under
src/mapdev/v.digit2 only can compiled to a archive library. My question is
that how could I make a executable v.digit2 so that under grass prompt if
one type v.digit2, somthing may happend. I posted this question about 4 days
ago and havn't get any responses so far. Any one may kindly let me know what
I did missing or what I did wrong during the compilation will be appreciated.
