g.gnuplot - can't find "help"

I have just compiled g.gnuplot under GRASS4.1 on a Sun 690. Everything looks
fine, except that it appears to still be looking in the original gnuplot 
directory for help:

docs/gnuplot.gih: No such file or directory

Any suggestions?
