compiling xgrass4.1

Someone made the sagacious observation the other day that v1.2 has some
backward compatibility ifdefs (sorry, I lost the attribution).  So, in
your head file try adding:
XCFLAGS             = -D_NO_PROTO -DXM_1_1_BC
                                  ^^^^^^^^^^^
This is untested-just passing along info. Good luck.
