How to compile SCS src.contrib programs?

I recently compiled GRASS 4.1 and then removed the src/ directory to save space.
Now I want to use the r.in.erdas program included in the SCS directory of the
src.contrib files. Can someone tell me how I if I can compile these programs without
having to restore all src/CMD/generic/...  stuff.
