subject: Bugreport GRASS 5

platform: Linux/Intel

vendor: RedHat

cputype: Intel (i486, i586, pentium ...)

grassversion: Linux/Intel binaries

cvsyesno: -- select --

source_version: 5beta10

module: X window repaint

bugreport: I have the repaint problem listed in the FAQ that X won't repaint the monitor when I drag a window over the monitor. I did the steps in the FAQ and my XF86Config file has the following:

# **********************************************************************
# Graphics device section
# **********************************************************************

# Any number of graphics device sections may be present

Section "Device"
    Identifier "Generic VGA"
    VendorName "Unknown"
    BoardName "Unknown"
    Chipset "generic"
    Option "backingstore" "on"

# VideoRam 256

# Clocks 25.2 28.3

EndSection

# Device configured by Xconfigurator:

Section "Device"
    Identifier "nVidia Corporation|Vanta [NV6]"
    VendorName "Unknown"
    BoardName "Unknown"
    Option "backingstore" "on"
    #VideoRam 16384
    # Insert Clocks lines here if appropriate
EndSection

As you can see, the backingstore feature has been set but the problem still persists. Any clues as to what to do?
