I can have a Garmin-only version of this ready pretty soon.
The grunt work is done, it just needs to be "packaged".
I can have a slightly more generic interface where people
could add support for other devices a little later.  I have
the basics of the abstraction layer designed, it just needs 
to be implmemented.

BTW, is there a bug/feature tracking system running for 
grass? If not, see http://www.mozilla.org/bugs for a fairly
easy to set up system.  Perhaps a web page where modules
that need to be fixed before the "stable" release, and any
other desired features/bug fixes would be useful?
