[GRASS5] Compiling an individual module

Please forgive my ignorance.

Is there some way to compile only one specific module, without compiling
most (or all) of grass? In other complex systems I have seen the ability
to go into the specific directory of that part of the system, and just
make it.

Without some fiddling, I can't do that here from what I see.

Any ideas?
