[GRASS5] g51: -lpq dependency problem

Hi all,

I've read from march archive about the '-lpq' dependency problem. As Glynn 
said it is the $LIBES = ... ($VECTLIB = ... $PQLIB ...) ... that is set as a 
dependency that causes a 'no rule to make target  -lpq' error.
The funny thing is why does this happen to me only on a slackware8.0 linux 
system (not on others). I would expect it to be always a problem. What is the 
easiest suggested workaround while waiting for improvements?
