Subject: there's no v.merge function

Platform: GNU/Linux/i386
grass binary for platform: Downloaded precompiled Binaries
GRASS Version: Grass 5.0.0 (August 2002)

I don't exactly if this is a bug. I'm trying to use v.merge, but it seems that this command is no longer available in this version. What Can I do??
