A binary distribution is ready of 5.0.3 for OS X. It was built on a
G5-based machine running Darwin 6.8.5 (from OS 10.2.8), and was
subsequently tested on a G4 machine running OS 10.3. I tested basic
display of rasters, r.mapcalc, r.in.gdal, and nviz.
The tarball and install script are now at:
http://bouteloua.erin.utoronto.ca/~smitch
and I'll upload them to the FTP server sometime over the weekend.
The Linux package that is in the same directory could also use some
testing. Since my initial post about that one I've tested it on a
Debian machine, and it seemed alright, but nviz didn't work - the
Debian machine has Tcl/tk 8.3 whereas my redhat build machine has 8.4,
so I assume that's the reason.
Cheers,
