[GRASS5] Question about vector point display colors

I just realized something. Setting color and fcolor colors the outline and
fill of icons just like areas of course. But setting the -c flag does NOT
fill icons with random colors by cat value. Why not?

Does setting the -a flag fill icons with colors from a GRASSRGB column?
