[GRASS5] KerGIS: next step

Hello,

So briefly (this will be the last message about KerGIS on the list),
the tarball with the fixed code will be downloadable from
http://www.kergis.org/ on April 2004 the 15th.


Differences from the original code (partial list):
	- Code fixed to comply with standard C and POSIX
	- tree reorganized (not finished)
	- simplifications and optimizations
	- XDRIVER partially rewritten in CWEB to update to X11R6 and since
	the gestion of the visuals and hence the color was not correct in 
	the original code
	- some functions resurrected in v.digit

Status of the GUI (Motif) interface:
	At the moment I don't know if I will keep it and if it will be
	released on april the 15th.
	Reason: the code is a mess, and since I do not like the way it has
	been coded, I'm unsure to accept to dedicate much time to fix it if
	it is to be dropped soon after.
	Decision not taken.
	Thing decided: if there is to be a new interface, it will be 
	Motif too.

CVS:
	None at beginning.

KerGIS will continue to evolve and this publication is not a release. A
release (milestone reached) is planned for september 2004.
