I hate to use the term "wave of the future" but I think it qualifies. I was wondering what the possiblity of working object oriented classification into GRASS would be? It already does supervised and unsupervised classification (as well as partially supervised).

Kurt,
one could think of combining the (internal) results of i.smap with
the new DB engine to create a hierarchial model with sets of
rules. The pieces are partially there, but it needs certainly
some efforts. But I am not too familiar with eCognitions approach.
