Hi all,
I have added DMS LatLong support to v.in.ascii (6.1-CVS):
echo "85:46:05.14203W|43:00:07.320715N" | v.in.ascii out=test
Maximum input row length: 33
Maximum number of columns: 2
Minimum number of columns: 2
Building topology ...
1 primitives registered
Building areas: 100%
0 areas built
0 isles built
Attaching islands:
Attaching centroids: 100%
Topology was built.
Number of nodes : 1
Number of primitives: 1
Number of points : 1
Number of lines : 0
Number of boundaries: 0
Number of centroids : 0
Number of areas : 0
Number of isles : 0
v.out.ascii test
-85.76809501|43.00203353|1
Please update from CVS and test.
If it works, we can backport to GRASS 6.0-CVS.
Cheers
Markus
