[GRASS5] corrupted raster maps

Hi,

my colleague has some problems with corrupted raster maps.

The LANDSAT 7 scene (reprojected with gdalwarp) was imported
into GRASS 6.1 with r.in.gdal from LANDSAT FAST on Redhat Enterprise 4,
two of 7 channels of this scene are corrupted:

-> small screenshot

This is apparently the same problem as reported
earlier:
http://mpa.itc.it/markus/tmp/rastercrash/damaged_rmapcalc.jpg
http://mpa.itc.it/markus/tmp/rastercrash/

and apparently caused the recently glibc error of i.rectify.

Glynn answered:

IMHO the map is corrupted upon import, so I would consider
i.rectify to be functional.

Is zlib involved? Maybe a buggy version here?
rpm -qa |grep zlib
zlib-1.2.1.2-1.2
zlib-devel-1.2.1.2-1.2

?

Markus
