[GRASS-dev] GRASS 6.2.0beta1 preparations

Hi,

since development continues on 6.3, we should get out a
GRASS 6.2.0beta1 version now. I have backported a couple
of recent changes after the creation of the release branch.

Backports (important only):
- no hardcoded ARCH for Python-SWIG
- vector/lidar: added missing includes
- g.region b>t bug fixed (Martin Landa)
- GRASS_PAGER (Glynn)
- r.mapcalc rand() (Glynn)
- tcl i18n install fix
- LOCALE awk fixes to some scripts
- SUN compilation fixes (Glynn)
- user docs fixes (Maciek)
- r.bilinear: Read/write maps as DCELL; Remove +0.5 from result (Glynn)
- NVIZ height update to avoid scene jump (Bob)

Open:
- the NVIZ volume problem seems to be fixed for all platforms
  except for Debian.
- more?

Other business:
- since the bug removal day isn't planned yet, I suggest to start the
  GRASS 6.2.0 release procedure now
- a really good press release is needed

To start testing, I have created two tarballs:
