[GRASS5] [bug #4044] (grass) v.to.db: manual suggests 'type=area', however 'Error: value <area> out of range'

I'm really asking this:

Is type=area presence in the v.to.db manual a typo (I can fix it then) or is
type=area not supported indeed (using it gives Error: value <area> out of
range for parameter <type>)? Why not supported?
