I have just tried with the same input DEM but very simple, single vector line
indicating input streamline. I made sure it doesn't exceed the input DEM
extent this time.

$ r.carve rast=nnbathy_D_no vect=carveit output=nnbathy_D_no_carved
points=nnbathy_D_no_carved_pkt width=10.000000 depth=0.1 -n Reading raster file...

r.carve complete. r.carve -n rast="nnbathy_D_no" vect="carveit"
output="nnbathy_D_no_carved" points="nnbathy_D_no_carved_pkt" width=10.000000
depth=0.1

No segfault this time.

Still, the output DEM is _identical_ to input DEM. And the ouput points= has 0
geometry.

No good. Any chances it will be fixed in close future?
