IIRC from partly digging into this a while ago, the place to look for 
changing it is G_tcltk() in lib/gis/parser.c. ISTR also the the Python GUI 
uses G_usage_xml() for generating option dialogs (also in parser.c), so 
maybe the issue doesn't apply there?
