Hi,

after fresh reinstallation and recomplilation of GRASS and GDAL, import
of raster files to grass is slow:

r.out.gdal in=soils out=/tmp/soils.tif type=UInt16

time r.in.gdal -o in=/tmp/soils.tif out=tmp --o

WARNING: Over-riding projection check.
 100%

( here it waits, processor is at 100%)

real 0m47.253s
user 0m44.007s
sys 0m0.184s

ls -lh /tmp/soils.tif
-rw-r--r-- 1 jachym jachym 1.4M May 22 14:13 /tmp/soils.tif

This only happens for GeoTIFF file generated with r.out.gdal of
type=UInt16 (UInt32, or some others (I did not check all possibilities))
workted fine. Some other PNG output works fast and fine, (even with 3
bands).

Any hint, what to do?

Thanks

jachym
