Comment:

 See r34848 (6.4) & r34849 (7.0).

 You can delete features selected by attributes directly from attribute
 manager -> contextual menu 'Delete selected features'.

  * Vector map is not open for editing

  -> v.edit is called on the background

  * Vector map is open for editing

  1) Select features from attribute manager, contextual menu 'Highlight &
 delete selected'.

  2) Select features from attribute manager, contextual menu 'Highlight',
 choose 'Delete' tool from vdigit toolbar, right click to delete selected
 features.
